Created in 2018, SEMAD S.A. (Société d’Expertise Maritime Aérienne Diverse), exclusive Lloyd’s of London agent in Madagascar – LLOYD’S AGENT, provides EXPERTISE relating to goods transported by sea, air or land as well as COMPLIANCE
CONTROLS, in particular quality, weight and quantity of goods for export. SEMAD S.A. is also the DESIGNATED SURVEYOR of several foreign and local Claims Adjusters, Insurance Brokers and Insurers, including WK Webster Co. Ltd of London for which she is the exclusive ACCREDITED SURVEYING COMPANY in Madagascar.
In addition, SEMAD S.A. looks after sick or deceased seafarers transiting through Madagascar affiliated to various P&I Clubs, as CORRESPONDENT of the latter. In carrying out its missions, it ensures its neutrality and objectivity by relying on in-house skills which are certified by Lloyd’s of London. Furthermore, SEMAD S.A. has also developed a strong partnership of independent experts throughout Madagascar. In August 2021, our organization expanded its activities by integrating the ALLIANZ General Insurance agency, which now operates under the name SANLAM ALLIANZ.
